Often I hear, “So many people need help. Where do I start?” Start with AT’S!
1. Accept that He has called you to service. God did not enlist you to fight all battles, just the one(s) He assigns you!
2. Think about your personal passions. Who do you gravitate toward? Children? Vets? Families? God equips you in small ways for bigger service later. Maybe you love children’s ministry and later He calls you to serve indigenous children in Alaska.
3. Start with action. Look around you. Who could you serve? Or, who do you serve and how can you make a bigger impact? Trust God to guide you to the people He wants you to serve and give you insight into how to serve.
A favorite passage is Jeremiah 33:2-3, “This is what the Lord says, He who made the earth, the Lord who formed it and established it – the Lord is His name. Call to Me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.“
Your journey deeper into ministry will teach you a tremendous amount about faith and trust. Not only in God but also in yourself. Trust He will lead you to what He wants you to do.
AT’S that easy!
